Alton Morgan, Inc. has a heritage of more than 20 years in executive search and recruitment.
The company is a spin-out of the national technology recruiting firm Crosstek, Inc.
The company Crosstek was born in 1995 and was located in a business center
at 6 Morgan on the corner of Alton and Morgan in the Irvine Spectrum,
which is a small high tech area in Orange County, California similar to
Silicon Valley. So very simply, the corporation takes its name from the
corner of Alton and Morgan as a tribute to where it all began more than 20 years
ago. Crosstek was eventually absorbed by Alton Morgan, Inc.
Prior to the spin-out of Alton Morgan, the recruiting company followed the
standard recruiting model: providing hard to find IT, software and technology
sales professionals to a variety of companies and industries nationwide. In 2006, Crosstek made a change.
Inspired by client requests, Crosstek took a hard look at the type of
positions it was filling. Management realized the company could use its
many contacts and successful search and recruitment model to fill a variety of,
non-technical, mid-level and senior management positions. To manage the complexity of each search assignment, while providing the
client with a level of cost containment, Crosstek used an innovative
search model they developed back in 1995 called the Hybrid-Retained
Search. Through this model, they follow a step-by-step process and
dedicate a certain amount of time and resources for each assignment. This is
how they provide clients with the best service. They focus on the clients’ needs
and really search the marketplace, turning up top candidates that may
otherwise be left uncovered. This search model is great for most functional, management
and executive roles, as well as industry-specific roles.
A new entity is born
In 2011, there was another advancement. Alton Morgan was formed
to focus exclusively on mid-level and senior management search
assignments. Alton Morgan also addressed
the need for affordable executive search services by providing a Hybrid-Retained
Search option, which is the same step-by-step process developed and used
successfully by Crosstek since it was born in 1995. The company
goal or aim is to provide best-in-class placement services for virtually
all middle to senior-level management positions across multiple
Growth and practice
As the company grew,
it added several industry practice areas. The wine industry and
high-growth technology companies were the first two specialty practices.
By 2013, Alton Morgan expanded its executive search offerings to include
an additional specialty practice specifically for media and entertainment
businesses. This included new media, content creation, video-on-demand,
streaming content, film and television production, music and recording,
broadcasting, radio and TV, digital media and content, live events, live
entertainment as well as other entertainment sub-industries.
Today, Alton Morgan serves a variety of industries focusing on
delivering leadership solutions to clients locally and nationwide. Our
passion for executive search and recruitment is at the heart of
everything we do.
