grew up surrounded by
industry. His family was among the early California grape
growers back in the 1920ís. They started
off growing table grapes, grapes for making raisins and
ultimately converted to producing grapes for the wine industry.
Alan was taught, at an early age, the family tradition of wine
growing working alongside his father. He was involved with
nearly every aspect of running the vineyards right down to
harvesting the fruit and delivering it to the winery.
In addition to his
own commercial grape growing experience, Alan also has close
family members who currently own and manage hundreds of acres of vineyard
